A video game for young people with cancer. To me it is one of my best songs yet and means a lot to me personally. Ironically, the date it is coming out on is not only my birthday, but the 12th anniversary of me coming home from my stem cell transplant.

"Remission (The Survior's Anthem)" is a song about the journey of a cancer patient. From being diagnosed with cancer and how you feel, the people you meet along the way and going into "Remission!" This song is the "Survivor's Anthem!" as I like to call it! Look/listen for it THIS Friday October 22nd!

Thanks for listening!
Ryan

Houses on the Road, Camels and a Surprise on the Radio!

It's been a very action packed week, tiring but great! I don't have any other details or explanations...just that half of a house passed me!

Then, as I am on the outskirts of Fredericksburg, Texas, I see some camels just hanging out. Amos Cancer Center! (Thanks for the coverage to all of the TV stations and the Ledger Enquirer!) Then Tuesday I hit the road to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Heading out a day early to make my interview with Fox 44, the trip was filled with rain, coffee, terrible drivers and phone calls! The best parts of course being the coffee and the phone calls. Phone calls of new dates being added to the "Hear the Heart" calendar. Along with radio interviews and news of early radio adds for my new single, "The View."

So, here I sit in Baton Rouge at a coffee shop about an hour and a half before my show at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center! I was interviewed by Conn Jackson on, "Get Connected with Conn Jackson!" This is a relatively new show that airs on the Word network. Check out http://www.conntv.com for more info. I'll also be posting the air date on my website. We'll see how it turns out once they are done with editing it. Me on TV??? [scratches head!]

I spoke and performed Saturday at Emory's "Celebration of Living" in Atlanta, GA. This was really a great experience. I have never been really crazy about public speaking (I'm a public singer not speaker!), but I got a lot out of giving this speech and was glad to have had the opportunity. I also got to perform 4 songs. 3 off of my record, "Between the Lines" and 1 that will be on my new record.

Also, Vitamin Shoppe was kind of enough to sponsor me for the tour! So that means 4 new songs...which I'm very excited about because ol' Jeff Tomei brought in some killer players and had some awesome ideas! These new songs are gonna make ya tingle n' stuff! Let's see what else, I played for Record Store Day at Manifest Records in Charlotte, and tonight I had tuna salad for dinner, but that's really not big news! Until next time! So I'm catching up today! Looks like we are going to be finishing the entire record before too long. I'm excited about the new songs and going back into the studio with Jeff Tomei! Also, I wanted to let you know about a great event and cause, 500 Songs for Kids/SongsForKids.org. It's a non-profit organization that reaches out to sick kids through music. Songs For Kids sponsors performances for kids in their hospitals and hospital rooms even. So anyway, I'll be participating in 500 songs for kids which is a countdown of the 500 most passionate songs performed by musicians from all around Georgia. I'll be performing, "Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams on May 2nd at Smith's Olde Bar. The Atlanta LRT was great! About 50 folks showed up! Then it was off to Mobile to play for a few days before a SMALL but much needed break. Then Friday I was at Q107.3 promoting my single "Lay Me Down" and the Thriving Ivory show! Friday night it was to Atlanta to play at Smith's Olde Bar and then Saturday morning to Nashville to write with some guys for the weekend...Then back late Sunday night before my show as the opening act for Thriving Ivory on Monday night at Oxygen in Columbus, GA...(following this?) Anyway, I was really hoping it would NOT come to this, BUT with all of these politicians that just can't seem to get their sh-t together. All of those guys that can't pay their taxes but still demand we pay up so that they can fly in their private planes and be treated like big babies, well I'm going to have to do it! Today I'm proposing the Ryan Hamner Stimulation Package!

It's a very simple plan!...and one that gives you options! No tax increases to save rats in California or for research on those same rats to see how they respond to Viagra...none of that BS! My plan is short, and well under 1,000 pages. Right around 999 pages shorter!

Plan A
Take your credit card and download the new Ryan Hamner EP for just $5.94 on itunes, Amazon.com, Rhapsody or emusic. (Stimulate your ears and the economy all at once!)

Plan B
Take your credit card and download any of the songs off of the new Ryan Hamner EP for just 99 cents. (This is for those folks that are really in need of some stimulation their selves…not to be confused with self stimulation!)

Plan C
Take your credit card and buy the CD on www.ryanhamner.com. (Stimulation that will arrive to you in your mailbox…so this means that you stimulated your ears, the USPS bank account and mine just a little.)

Plan D
Now this is the best! Come out to a live show! Buy a drink or two (economic stimulation at it's best), bring a friend or meet someone and buy them a drink (oh man, can you feel the stimulation?…This is stimulation that actually may lead to other forms of stimulation!) buy a Ryan Hamner CD (even MORE economic stimulation!) Then just kick back and listen to some live original music and if you are lucky, maybe you'll have someone for after-show stimulation!

New Songs!

I'm excited about some new songs I recently recorded...well the demo versions anyway.
